The 2023 vintage confirms once again: this white cuvée from the southern Rhône has true presence. With his Excellence Blanc, winemaker Cyril Marès continues to craft wines that confidently rival the region’s big names—but at a price that invites a second look.

This blend of Roussanne and Viognier is matured for at least six months in wooden barrels and amphorae, lending it both structure and depth. In the glass, it shines a rich straw yellow, while the nose reveals delicate wood tones, floral hints, and aromas of pear, peach, and a touch of orange zest. A subtle minerality, shaped by the rocky soils of Costières-de-Nîmes, adds refinement.

On the palate, it’s creamy, aromatic, and beautifully balanced: exotic fruits are lifted by a fine acidity, with notes of vanilla, toasted nuances, and a slightly nutty finish.

A white wine full of character and finesse, perfect with grilled fish, bold cheeses like Roquefort, or simply on its own when you’re in the mood for something special.
