Weingut Paul Lehrner Blaufränkisch Ried Hochäcker MAGNUM 2017

The Hochäcker vineyard in Horitschon, central Burgenland is one of the most prestigious in this region and produces spicy, mineral red wines.

The Blaufränkisch grapes for this wine were carefully harvested by hand and then matured for 16 months in small and large used oak barrels. The fruity aroma of fully ripe cherries and dark berries with a hint of spice. The presence of wood is very subtle and elegant. Dry on the palate with mild acidity, soft, ripe tannins and an elegant body. A very harmonious wine with a delicately mineral, spicy finish that ends with a pleasant fruity aftertaste. A good, straightforward all-rounder that is nearly always suitable and never overwhelming.

Good value for money and a very good vintage! Ageing potential is 6-8 years.
An excellent companion with food. Pairs well with dark meat, pizza, burgers and pasta.
