Description
The Göttlesbrunn Weiss 2023 is a new white wine from Steffi and Johann Böheim of Carnuntum.
Only the finest hand-picked Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc grapes from various vineyards in the village of Göttlesbrunn were used for this wine. After extended ageing on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks, it now enters an excellent drinking window, offering impressive depth and balance.
In the glass, it displays a golden yellow colour. The nose is defined by aromas of pineapple, herbs and a subtle hint of blossom honey. On the palate, it is dry and medium-bodied, with a mineral character and a slightly salty finish. Exotic notes combine with a gently creamy texture. A harmonious, lively acidity supports the wine, with touches of orange zest on the finish. It clearly demonstrates the beauty and ageing potential of high-quality local wines from Göttlesbrunn.
An excellent match for Viennese classics as well as spicy Asian dishes.
